This past weekend, we went to the Hank William's, Jr. concert and it was a lot of fun. Jamey Johnson, Colt Ford, Josh Thompson, and The Grascals joined Hank Jr. on his "Rowdy Friends" tour. We missed The Grascals and Josh Thompson because Adam hadn't printed out our tickets and it was a hassle getting them printed out. We ended up having to get my mom to print them out and go up to the hospital and pick them up. Luckily, the concert was at the BJCC so the hospital was very close. Colt Ford is a favorite of one of Adam's customers/friend, Roby. Roby and his girlfriend Sandy went with us and Roby had on his famous "Good Times" Colt Ford shirt. I don't think I have ever seen him wear any other t-shirt but this one and I constantly pick on him for it too. He is definitely a good time friend when we hang out with him. He provides a LOT of entertainment for us. Jamey Johnson was very disappointing to me and Adam. We have seen him in Atlanta and it was GREAT but this time, it didn't seem as exciting. He played songs that we didn't know and hadn't heard before, the stage was very plain, and overall it was dull. Then the man came out and it was wonderful!! I have never seen Hank Jr. and I'm so glad I got an opportunity to see him. It made me think about my dad listening to this type music when I was little and it seemed so nostalgic to be given this opportunity. Hank Jr was definitely entertaining and it made me want to dance right there in the aisle, which we did. When he played All My Rowdy Friends are Coming Over Tonight, I broke. it. down. :) If he ever comes back through Birmingham, I will be going to see him again!
